    This page is NOT for challenging the outcome of deletion discussions or to address the pending deletion of any page.

    Shortcuts

    Requests for undeletion is a process intended to assist users in two cases. The first case is restoring pages or files that were uncontroversially deleted via proposed deletion, under certain speedy deletion criteria (such as maintenance deletions (G6) or stale Articles for creation drafts (G13)), or in deletion debates with little or no participation other than the nominator. In the second use case, this page is also intended to serve as a central location to request that deleted content be "userfied", i.e., restored as a draft or emailed to you; this way, the content can be improved upon prior to re-insertion into the mainspace, or used elsewhere (you may also make a request directly to one of the administrators listed here). Be clear as to which namespace is intended, when requesting the restoration of a deleted article.

    This means that content deleted after discussion – through deletion processes – may in some cases be provided to you, but such controversial page deletions will not be overturned through this process but through deletion review instead. Copyright violations and attack pages will not be provided.

    Do not request that pages or media deleted under speedy deletion criteria F7, F9, F11, U5, A7, A9, A11, G3, G4, G10, G11 or G12 be undeleted here.

    As far as I see, the deletion has been handled improperly. Article was flagged as AfD. Said AfD proposal closed as contested, as no consensus was met. Despite this, it was later deleted by ElijahPepe. As far as I see, articles may be removed only when the AfD has been uncontested for 7+ days since creation, or if the AfD reached a rough consensus on deletion. Since neither of these criteria were met, it sounds more reasonable to add cleanup tags to the page, instead of removing it.

    Greetings! Please restore the page because it was recently speedy deleted under G4, but I believe the content was not the same as what was deleted five years ago. I added substantial reliable sources to meet WP:V that address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted. As a recipient of "Légion d'Honneur", the subject clearly establishes notability so, if there are any issues with close paraphrasing, I can improve the article, as I believe it is salvageable.     Kvng, you may go ahead and move it to mainspace. And defend it at AfD in case it happens to go there. The PROD tag was added by an IP who left the edit summary blank unlike specified at WP:PRODNOM.     Soft deleted at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/XTB S.A.. I request the undeletion of the article about the Polish broker XTB based on my draft (User:Kahvihenki/XTB). Late last year, I noticed that the original article was created by someone affiliated with the company's PR, and subsequently, it was nominated for deletion. Unfortunately, I didn’t manage to prepare an improved version in time—but now I have. XTB is a major Polish business, publicly traded for many years, and has received substantial independent media coverage, both generally and specifically regarding regulatory issues. I trust the draft clearly demonstrates this notability.     It seems there's been a misunderstanding. My intention was never to restore the deleted version — I clearly remembered it was of no interest to me. Instead, I intended (and still intend) to recreate the article based on my fully prepared draft. Now, what we have is someone else's poorly written text restored (I note that it doesn't really matter to me who exactly appears as the author of the article). Most importantly, this restored draft is now stuck in the drafts queue, which currently means months of waiting.
    UtherSRG, could you please take another look at this situation? The optimal solution, in my view, would be to delete that draft altogether and move my version directly from my user space into the main article space. I replied to the original nominator in detail, but I think they are busy, it was deleted before I replied. I wanted to create an article on the subject. The deleting editor just deleted it automatically, we spoke with them here User talk:BusterD#Article.

    On Wikipedia, before creating a new article, Wikipedia asks you to check if a draft already exists. I did not know it violates something. Old draft was created and abandoned by a blocked user. I found a draft that was poorly formatted, unsourced, and had been rejected about five times all together over a year ago before being abandoned. That’s all. I was just having the conversation with other editors on the article itself on Women in Red.     I understand. I commented on all the sources I find suitable. It is not all of them. I also replied to the nominator, but the page was already deleted by the time I replied. I had to replace practically all the information from the draft. Does it make any sense deleting a draft, for me to create a new one? Would not it be deleted automatically?     In this case, the draft was deleted under G5: Creation by a blocked or banned user in violation of block or ban and G11: Unambiguous advertising or promotion. Reviewing the text itself, I can see no standard of notability which this subject would meet based on the sources that were in the draft at the time of deletion, and therefore conclude that it would be better to start with new non-primary reliable sources. It was published in English and there is a similar article, but a little language available in Romanian language. English Article sources 1 same in Romanian Language . I wondered the same as you, but I speak Romanian, as I mentioned before. National Agency repost solemnly on the activity of Moldovan government, and it is activities in different sectors. It is highly unusual to cover an individual. This is the article how I discovered the subjects, while working on the a Wikipedia articles about Romanian women. They do not accept press relapses, or offer paid features. The domain is under gov.md. This is the sources I am the most confident, because they are required by the law to upheld to the fact checking the journalistic code. I think it passes Wikipedia:reliable sources
    I would like to know if this draft should be restored or should I start a new draft for the subject? I came to the thread women in red to work with another editor on similar articles and improve this one for my project. I read it is a violation of some rules if I make a draft that was deleted. Our work on DASL was published in the public domain by Sun Microsystems Laboratories, the research arm of Sun Microsystems until it was acquired by Oracle.[reply]

    We are aware that another lab reused our acronym (DASL) for their language. Sun did not copyright the name. That is not a reason to delete our page as not being noteworthy.

    There are still some references to our programming language, DASL, on the web. See, for example, https://seattlewebsitedevelopers.medium.com/what-is-dasl-84b12fe4eb15 and https://programminglanguages.info/language/distributed-application-specification-language/. My Sun Labs technical report on DASL is part of the ACM Digital Library: [1].

    After discovering that my article had be deleted, I searched for my language and found this LinkedIn article https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/ace-dasl-distributed-application-specification-language-santosh-kumar which contains a jumble of misinformation, along with a decent summary of what the language was about. I have filed a report with LinkedIn regarding the fact that the article is full of misinformation about the origins of DASL.

    I don't know where the deleter searched, but the conclusion that our language is not "noteworthy" is false.

    @Nissenbenyitskhak: Done – as a contested proposed deletion, the article has been restored upon request.

    However, as this would be eligible for deletion immediately upon its restoration, I have chosen to instead draftify it as Draft:Distributed Application Specification Language. This will provide you the time and space to address the issue(s) raised in the PROD: s: Fails WP:GNG. I could not find sufficient sourcing to establish notability. When you have done so, please do not move this into main article space yourself, but instead submit it for further review. I note that the article was not in an acceptable state and should have been rewritten regardless of the PROD concerns. Please seek advice from the Teahouse for improving it, as well as assistance in addressing the PROD concerns. Further, please note that on Wikipedia notability is a highly specialize term; the PROD didn't say it wasn't noteworthy, but that it fails our General Notability Guidelines. Finally, please read WP:COI; as one of the inventors of DASL, you most certainly have a COI on this topic. They are not for the indefinite hosting of material that is unsuitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia.
